Eating Smaller Meals To Fuel Your Weight Loss

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Weight loss is something that millions of people deal with across the world, and unfortunately for them, they have probably tried just about every diet plan available to only find out later that the results just weren’t what they were sold or what they expected.  There are a lot of diet plans out there today that are pure hype, and don’t really do much for you other than lower your bank account.  Before you can really get true benefit from these types of diet plans, you first have to understand how your body functions in order to know why you are doing what you are doing.

When people hear about having to eat 6 small meals a day, they often assume that this is going to lead to increased obesity.  What they don’t understand about their body, is that this type of diet plan can actually fuel their metabolism to levels they could have never imagined, which in turn will start burning fat and building muscle at hyper speed.  As long as you keep a steady flow of the proper calories going into your body, you can easily keep your metabolism in fat burning mode, even while you sleep.

The reason that this works is based around the same concept of how a fire works.  If you use smaller logs, or smaller meals in this case, to fuel the fire, it is going to get bigger and bigger over time until it is raging.  However, if you are using larger logs, or meals, you are going to put a serious damper on the fire until that log, or meal, begins burning.  Because of its sheer size, the log is going to be impossible to burn off quickly, which leaves you feeling full throughout the day.  The problem with this is that your body has to slowly digest the meal you just took in, and unless it’s a smaller one, you are going to douse your fire in the same manner that throwing a large log into it would.

In order to really keep your metabolism in fat burning mode, you have to understand that eating more, smaller meals is the true way to weight loss solutions.  Until you can grasp how your body is functioning, and why this method works so well, you are probably going to end up testing multiple diet plans and routines until you do figure it out.
