A lot of people think that they need weight loss help, but for the most part, what they really need is to understand how their body works and functions, in order to properly align themselves and begin losing weight.  There are companies all over the United States that promise you the help that you are looking for, but if you don’t know why you are overweight in the first place, how are you really going to benefit from the weight loss help that they can provide you?  The truth is that you can’t, and is why so many people start these programs only to find out that they don’t work.

If you don’t understand how your body functions, then you are going to need to go back to 2nd or 3rd grade science class and read up on your metabolism.  Your school teachers taught you everything that you need to know in order to properly lose weight, and keep it off for good.  What they taught you were the right types of foods to take in, as well as the food pyramid diagram, and getting in the right amount of exercise to keep your metabolism burning red hot.  All of these activities greatly effect and benefit the other, and unless you have every step in place, you are going to find out that you will have difficulties losing weight.

The fact that your body works like a chain is proven, and if you are missing links like poor water intake, no vitamins, low quality foods, then you are breaking it.  Once the chain is broken, your body begins trying to store fat because you are putting just enough stress on your internal systems to have them thinking they have to save every calorie that comes in.  When you are eating a few larger meals each day, this is what happens.  Ideally, you are supposed to intake calories every 3 hours to keep your body from trying to store everything as fat.  When you start going 5-6 hours or more between meals, and then you add a hefty plate to the picture, your metabolism is going to slow down to match.  What your body is going to do, is assume that meals come every 6 hours, and hold onto your previous meal for as much as it can get from it.  This leads to extreme obesity, and is the sole reason you must eat 6 smaller meals per day if you are serious about weight loss solutions.
